Washington State has again “upped the ante” with regard to interpreter credentials. Interpreters in the Northwest now face decertification if they do not complete a certain amount of continuing education credits. For more information, follow this link to the Washington State website.

We recommend that interpreters who are branching out from In-Person to Telephonic and/or VRI, invest (at minimum) in a training course that gives a broad overview of the Interpreting Industry. could be a good place for you to start with an at-home modular training series with its own built-in self-assessment.
